Reviews
We have stayed for two nights here. The location is great for exploring the local area. Colmar is just a 15-20 minutes drive away and there is a very cute town/village nearby.
We had the dinner at the hotel on our first night. It was good. Not remarkable.
The communal areas of the hotel are nicely decorated. The rooms are a bit simplistic. The shower was really good though.
Staff were polite and friendly. Plenty of parking.
Overall we had a pleasant stay.
What a beautiful hotel and perfect for family. There is a great space for children to play with lots of toys. The dinner and breakfast is amazing and the staff is very nice. The rooms are big and spacious! I rarely make review, but this hotel is amazing!
I just took their spa and dinner package for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday. I booked the package and noted I wanted to come on Nov 23. It was the last day I could use the package before the Christmas markets and it was for the exact date of his birthday.
There were some miscommunication and I my dinner reservations never went through. Thankfully I had an intuition to call to confirm. The restaurant was completely full but, after speaking with the supervisor, they were able to accommodate me and the birthday boy.
I love the spa here. It’s always super clean and never too over crowded. Our reservations for dinner were at 20h45 and we arrived at 17h for the spa. We had more than enough time to enjoy everything and be relaxed. Dinner was delicious as always. The birthday boy was very happy and so am I. Thank you to the staff who were able to fit us in!
The hotel is nestled in the trees and perched on a hilltop as part of Husseren de Chateaux village. The views of the Alsace valley and the vinyards are breathtaking. The nearest known village is Egushiem (part of les plus beaux villages de France). Where you would need to go in case you don't want to repeatedly eat at the hotel's only restaurant. Which you won't be able to if you don't book before arriving (a typical French peculiarity, most restaurants won't entertain you without reservation). The hotel, however, does provide the possibility to order from a fixed menu 24x7 (a surprise given that this is France!). Fixed menu has a great pasta and risotto. The rooms are spacious. We were in a room with terrace where bunk beds were on lower level and the main bed on upper level. The room has two bathrooms and toilets which is a really convenient and nice touch. Terrace space was ample and on sunny days serves as sunbathing space. The swimming pool is small and limited for used by kids younger than 16. Hotel hospitality is typical French, warm, endearing but inflexible. All in all a great place to stay in Alsace. However you would need a car (the nearest supermarket is kms away) and nearest eatery in Egushiem.
Wonderful hotel in a wonderful place! The hotel is located in the forest on edge of the hill topped with three ruined castles.
Fantastic atmosphere, great SPA facilities, perfect cuisine. Strongly recommended for those who love the life in comfort. Definetely for all types of travelers - families, pairs. Accept travelers with animals.
Nice enough but not a 4 star hotel as you would expect it. Renovated but not with love to detail and an overall inviting appearance - quantity before quality. Very very big hotel and services are accordingly.
Spa - sauna, steambath erc are very nice but small. Only 5 beds in the resting room which just doesn’t match the size of the hotel.
Pool is lovely but crowded with kids - not very spa-like and highly stressful rather than relaxing.
Rooms: rather small. Big no no: only one duvet for 2 people- uncool for couples but also for sharing with family.
Forest and surroundings are lovely.
Restaurant is excellent
Great hotel with spa. Family room was on 2 levels all to a very high standard. Great location if you want to explore the Vosges mountains or the numerous idyllic Alsace villages. Great walking and cycling locally if thats your thing
Pleasant spa and the most amazing dinner. You can buy a day pass for the spa if you’re not a hotel guest. Will definitely stay here next time. You can hike the forest to the castle ruins nearby. Hike to the vineyards and surrounding villages.
